Fall Harvest (Midwestern USA)

Fall is sprung

No leaves yet and I hear its snowing in at least one or two locations.  So before we leave the late, hot days of summer and jump straight to winter, I'm going to spend a few days celebrating fall!

BIG spider (USA)

Sharing the road

I have a dog and we walk at least twice a day.  One thing I'm always aware of is what other beasties are taking a walk at the same time.  Normally my dog chases everything.  This large gentlemen was given the right of way by my dog crossing the road and clearly I was braver than the dog when I went to catch his picture once he crossed.  Evidently my dog is a big sissy. . . maybe I should be as well!

Love in the afternoon (Kolkata, India)

Hold tight to someone you love

Not just today, but everyday. . . make sure the ones you love in life  know they are loved and that you spend a little time with them.

Ready for the crush (St. Helena, CA)

Harvest

With fall beginning, I thought it would be nice to pay homage to a region that has familiar bounty.  And while there are most likely countless spectacular photographs of the region, please consider my offering as what a harvest is all about. . . sharing.

End of the season

It's official. . . it's the last couple of hours of summer.  Only one way to go from here, turn right, straight on to the holidays!

Gathering storm (Western USA)

Heavens opened

Clouds are not something I often post.  But I thought these particularly awe-inspiring.  The suggestion of blue calm behind gathering darkness.  The western US still has huge open expanses where the earth and sky meet.  On this day the view above lasted 15 minutes before I was completely drenched.
